Massdrop's Operations Team is a compact team dedicated to providing a world class experience to suppliers, customers, and our teammates. We're looking for a teammate with experience managing a complex transportation network. This individual must be able to adapt quickly to change and commit to operationally supporting company initiatives.
Massdrop is searching for a Warehouse Operations Manager to continue to improve the overall customer experience by improving our warehouse fulfillment accuracy, speed, and cost. Our enthusiast members are dedicated experts in their categories and are influential in the way we conduct business. In order to provide unique products for our community, we partner with companies that make products our members love and respect. This individual will need to collaborate, develop/improve processes, and communicate effectively internally with cross functional partners. This role and team member are vital to the overall performance of Massdrop.
Here's what you'll do as part of the team
  • Manage all aspects of 3PL warehouse operations to include account relationship building and team communications with the operations team for successful implementation of 3PL warehouse business practices.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedure for San Francisco operations related to 3PL warehouse process requirements.
  • Provide operational guidance to 3PL warehouse partners for alignment of priorities with organization demand.
  • Investigates process failures, identify root causes, and communicate with 3PL warehouse partners to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Manage executive level reporting on the state of fulfillment operations, areas requiring attention and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Effectively communicates any and all issues related to delays, underperformance or quality issues to management on a timely basis.
And here are the skills and experience you'll need to be successful
  • 2-4 years experience in operational roles focused on warehousing and fulfillment
  • Advanced competency in Excel, SQL understanding a plus
  • Proven ability to use data to make key business decisions
  • Extensive warehousing, inventory management, cross-dock, returns, and pick and pack experience
  • Experience managing multiple outsourced vendors
