We're looking for a rock-star Technical Product Marketing Manager to join our team. At Couchbase, you will play a critical role in fueling the growth of the company by helping us differentiate our products from our competitors and enabling our teams to successfully compete for and win our customers' business. The ideal candidate is ready to roll up their sleeves in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment and eager to collaborate within the marketing team and cross-functionally across the organization. Ability to prioritize and pivot accordingly a must.

  • Market intelligence: Be the expert on all technical buyer personas, including technical leaders, architects, developers, and devops. Understand their buying agendas, and how they evaluate and buy, including how the competition co-exists in the same buying cycle.
  • Technical marketing: Build technically-differentiated marketing content in the form of messaging platforms, presentations, data sheets, technical white papers, web content, blog posts, and other digital assets.
  • Product launch: Help to plan and execute the product marketing deliverables associated with new product releases.
  • Sales enablement: Help develop sales training materials for global field, inside sales, and sales engineering organizations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, MIS or related field; specific experience in relational or non-relational database, cloud (PaaS/IaaS), or analytics fields a plus
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts and technologies into business-oriented and customer-centric value propositions
  • Demonstrated experience in developing technical marketing content and/or sales enablement training and tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience in public speaking a plus.
  • Solid teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to perform in a high-energy and highly demanding work environment where change is a constant and deadlines hit fast
  • Strong ability to multitask, manage multiple deadlines and priorities, and drive projects through to completion, while collaborating with other teams

Minimum Requirements:
  • 4 years technical marketing, product management, technical sales or related discipline
