We are growing exponentially in India and looking for a Systems Engineer who will participate with us in this exciting phase of our company with Pre-Sales and Product Deployment

The SE is a high impact, very prominent role responsible for establishing Vexata as an innovative technical leader for enterprise and closing enterprise transactions within assigned accounts. This position will be in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a technical expert, build business cases and technical differentiation in sales opportunities by educating customers and partners about Vexata solutions

Engage as part of a sales team to achieve or exceed revenue targets.

Creative approach to problem solving with the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems

Engage during Pre-Sales activities, calls and drive POC's (Proof of Concept)

Participate in the consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process.

Assist in defining technical support processes and associated tools

Contribute to technical knowledge base through publishing technical support documentation and/or providing training sessions

Present solutions to our customers, OEM and Channel Partners

Create and deliver technical product presentations and/or training sessions to partners and customers

Desired Skills & Experience

A minimum of 6-10 years' experience in Solutions Architect, Field Engineering or Sales Engineering

Ability to maintain relationships with technical resources at all levels of a customer organization.

Thorough understanding of technical sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcome objections, assist in the development of business cases, and technically close deals.

Flexible, dependable, self-starter, and capable of quickly learning new products and technologies.

Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills.

Knowledge and background in storage technologies (NAS, SAN) and deployment models

Knowledge of Flash Storage preferred

Knowledge of Linux (Redhat), Windows and VMWare ESXi OSs.

Applications knowledge in terms of installation, tuning and IO patterns

Any experience with Applications such as Oracle, SAS, SQL is a plus

Knowledge of Scripting or Programming languages such as shell, python or similar is a plus

B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, MIS/IT or equivalent
