Job Description:

WideOrbit has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Client Partner to oversee the strategy and relationship of some of WideOrbit's largest and complex accounts. As a Strategic Client Partner, your primary objective is to establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel within your high profile complex accounts. You will represent and evangelize WideOrbit's unique ability to help clients reach their short and long-term business goals and objectives.

You will be the customer's key business contact representing WideOrbit's Strategic Client Partner organization and the entire range of company products. If you have experience in broadcast media, particularly in Cable Networks, believe in taking care of customers first and feel comfortable representing WideOrbit at an executive level, this could be the right job for you.

Here's what you'll be doing:
  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of customer business goals, strengths and weaknesses including their workflows and long-term needs.
  • Manage expectations around software capabilities and educate customers on our various product offerings.

  • Serve as the primary escalation path for critical customer issues and proactively manage internal and external communication until a solution is provided.
  • Work with other WO Strategic Client Partners, Sales leadership and Professional Services to promote and sell WideOrbit products and services.
  • Promote Professional Service engagements, taking a large role in the future renewability and reference ability of your clients, with a goal of 100% renewability for all products. Track and maintain renewal visibility.
  • Be the trusted go-between to navigate across WO departments to address customer needs, facilitating involvement of other departments as needed.

  • Proactively recognize opportunities to provide solutions.
  • Independently build and present business updates, quarterly reviews, sales opportunities, and product value to customer executives and within WideOrbit.
  • Adopt a strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
  • Routinely report internally on customer satisfaction, software use and revenue growth, and clarify customer goals.
  • Own and manage project initiatives with clear timelines and defined project plans. Lead project calls and maintain logs of project updates working with Project and Account Managers.

Here is what we're looking for:
  • 5+ years of experience in media or media software with strong knowledge of broadcast operations is required.
  • Previous account management or client facing role is highly desired.
  • A desire for a career in Sales. Interest, confidence and ability to successfully perform the sales functions of the position.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate and collaborate with clients and with the WideOrbit team in a productive and positive way.
  • Must have demonstrated competence presenting at the executive level in a large organization.
  • Ability to resolve problems independently and engage internal resources as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building strong professional relationships with internal and external customers. Unafraid to "pick up the phone".
  • Capacity to think at a big picture level while identifying tactical solutions to problems.
  • Demonstrated project management skills including the ability to effectively facilitate others.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task manage client initiatives to completion.
  • Capable of performing independently, while fostering a team-based environment.
  • Someone that thrives in a fast-paced environment while appearing calm under pressure.
  • This position must be commutable to New York City, and will require frequent time spent onsite at customer locations.


This position will be based in our New York, NY office.
