Your role:
Analytically, you are the best at: Cloud-based database management, infrastructure, and security in the context of healthcare/HIPAA regulations.

You are also good at: Deploying high performance cloud-based workflows for genomics designed by our bioinformatics team

You will be responsible for:
  • Designing and building a cloud-based backend system for managing internal data and building data pipelines from lab equipment
  • Building internal web-based tools to help our research and development teams
  • Deploying systems in a robust and scale-appropriate manner
  • Maintaining and reporting business analytics and presenting results to team leaders.
Requirements
  • Masters or undergraduate degree in CS or related field with 2+ yrs experience
  • Experience working with patient data subject to HIPAA regulations
  • At least two years' experience deploying database-driven applications on AWS or Google Cloud using MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL solutions as necessary in combination with Django/Flask or other web framework frontends.
  • Strong in IT and computer science; understanding of molecular biology a huge plus!
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, data analysis, and interpretation skills
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with the ability to think innovatively towards efficient problem solving
Nice to have:
  • Experience working with record keeping related to clinical trials
  • History of working with lab-based molecular biology researchers
  • Specific experience with AWS Lambda, AWS Batch and AWS State Machines
