Job Description:

WideOrbit is looking for a dynamic Procurement leader who will be an integral part of our global procurement organization. In this role, you will be a business partner to various departments across the organization, purchasing goods and services including marketing products and event services, office furniture and equipment, information technology (IT) equipment, and other needed products and services. The Senior Procurement Specialist will process requests from various departments, source items and services to meet business needs, negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, create procedures and streamline processes within WideOrbit. You'll also partner with other department leads to help with larger ongoing projects such as vendor consolidation, office construction and buildouts, and developing WideOrbit equipment and supply standards for all offices.

Here is what you'll be doing:
  • Prepare RFQs, select potential vendors, evaluate bid proposals and specifications, present recommendations on purchases requiring management approval
  • Act as the liaison between vendors, contractors, and company department heads
  • Leveraging our automated system, ensure appropriate approvals are obtained on a timely basis
  • Process incoming requests in a timely manner and follow up with clear status updates
  • Manage vendor relationships and perform purchasing of orders
  • Review contracts prior to bid and/or renewal for accuracy
  • Evaluate overall revisions, price, and past performance of each vendor and negotiate best value for WideOrbit with vendors
  • Balance administrative purchases and project-based procurement
  • Help define functional goals, policies and priorities
  • Develop key performance metrics (addressable spend, days to process requests, etc.) and mechanisms to measure and analyze performance against these metrics
  • Collaborate with other departments to implement and streamline procurement processes and ensure best practices are followed across the company
  • Create budgets and cost breakdowns, and manage financial aspects of projects and purchases
  • Work with complex timelines with multiple dependencies
  • Provide excellent customer service for internal WO "clients"


Here is what we're looking for:
  • 5+ years of experience as a purchasing professional with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree is highly desired
  • Exceptional communicator (both verbally and in writing), with a passion for organization and problem-solving
  • Ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, from the supplier to the VP/executive level
  • Proven ability to excel in a team environment and coordinate activities across all departments and with stakeholders
  • Accustomed to making decisions with little supervision or direction with a "can-do, make-it-happen" attitude
  • Makes wise decisions within the context of existing information and goals. Solves root causes of problems vs symptoms. Thinks strategically. Prioritizes work intelligently.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the company vision, mission, requirements and expectations for high-quality materials supply
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task manage projects to completion and on time
  • Experience with automated procurement tools such as Concur, or Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable
  • Ability to lead presentations with confidence
  • Experience with last minute purchasing requests and emergency procurement



Location:

This position will be based in our Coppell, TX office.
