We are searching for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to play a key role in driving growth of communities. Massdrop is home to 20+ enthusiast communities ranging from Audiophile and Mech Keys to Cooking and Knitting. We have built an audience of 5M+ users largely without a dedicated marketing team, and are looking for someone who is eager to be part of creating a team and strategy to bring Massdrop to more members and communities.

In this role, you will own digital growth efforts across multiple channels, and be responsible for building out channels that are seeing success while testing and iterating in new channels. The ideal candidate is a marketing professional with several years of experience working on growth or performance marketing for a startup. To be in this role you'll need to be a data-driven individual who works well under pressure, is a great storyteller, and is a dedicated, ambitious individual. We will scale quickly over the next year and we need a data-driven Senior Marketing Manager who is ready to get to work developing and implementing a strategy to ensure long-term, sustainable growth.

Here's what you'll do as part of the team:
  • Develop, implement and iterate on strategies to drive sustainable user growth / user acquisition
  • Lead major multi-channel marketing campaigns from idea generation through execution
  • Manage efforts and campaigns across multiple channels (CPA, SEM, SEO, influencer, referral, traditional media, etc.)
  • Coordinate and implement A/B testing to improve performance of campaigns, and of mobile and web funnels
  • Seek and discover innovative ways for reducing new member acquisition costs, or new channels to test and develop

And these are the experience and skills you'll need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related area. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 3-5 years of data-driven digital marketing experience
  • Proven experience driving acquisition marketing efforts for a growing startup across multiple acquisition channels
  • Experience working in internet commerce preferred
  • Data-driven decision maker, able to easily navigate goal setting, analysis, and reporting of campaigns
  • Able to balance an analytical approach, a deep empathy for users, and creativity for trying new things
  • Demonstrated ability to produce successful results in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of advanced analytics software (such as Periscope, Mixpanel, Lever, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of web and mobile analytics tools, including Excel, analytics platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of emerging trends in online, mobile and social media
  • Strategic and innovative thinker with a strong ability to utilize data to maximize growth and ROI

Bonus points if you...
  • Have previous work experience with tech startups and the desire to build a business
  • Are familiar with SQL
