InfluxData is an seeking a high-energy, creative, passionate, and driven Senior Communications Manager to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a strong public relations, analyst relations and social-engagement program. Rock-solid writing skills, story telling, an in-depth knowledge of the technology industry and proficiency with all things digital are a must. We take pride in what we do and need you to have a demonstrable track record of leading-edge thinking to develop programs that have a meaningful and relevant business impact.

What you'll be doing:

  • Define the public relations strategy and plan with buy-in from the key stakeholders. You must be obsessed with details and project management -- this role will be key in ensuring all plans are executed with precision and on time.

  • Work with our external agency, setting goals, tracking progress, and ensuring we have the best possible outcomes in the market.

  • Define and implement a strong analyst relations plan with regular cadence of analyst briefings and outreach.

  • Identify product, customer, and third-party announcement opportunities and leverage those opportunities via direct outreach, social outreach, contributed articles and the like.

  • Produce press releases, articles, speeches, executive biographies, briefing books, pitches, Q&As, and other quality communications materials as needed.

  • Facilitate the development of thought-leadership content and collateral to support contributed articles and lead-generation activity.

  • Assist the other members of the marketing team on communication activities such as blogs, web content and the like.

Your background and skills:

  • Minimum 5-8 years related experience. Bachelor's degree in mass communications, journalism, public relations or equivalent experience.

  • Agency or equivalent experience in the software space. Experience in open source software a plus.

  • Fantastic communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Strong attention to detail in both written communications and project management.

It's a plus if you have:

  • Experience in the software business around technical infrastructure products.

  • Prior experience on creating and implementing a PR and AR plan that had proven results.

  • Solid understanding of key marketing disciplines including digital marketing, public relations, web, social media, etc.

  • Experience measuring the ROI of communications activities.
