WideOrbit is searching for a creative, analytical, and data-driven senior marketing operations manager to own the strategy, management, and performance of our marketing automation ecosystem, including Marketo, Salesforce, Hootsuite, Google Analytics and internal tools.

The Senior Manager of Marketing Operations is responsible for the marketing tech stack, marketing automation, demand generation, reporting and analytics, process building/refinement; and best practices across the entire marketing organization.

He/she will play an integral part in building our marketing operations team, ensuring our marketing campaigns and processes run efficiently and effectively, developing strong and agile project management practices that enable us to move quickly and scale.

Working closely with go-to-market teams, the Senior Marketing Operations Manager will implement compelling campaigns, enable performance tracking, automate lead development and develop, report on, and optimize results through analysis and ongoing testing.


Demand Generation & Nurturing
  • Define campaign strategies and tactics that build product awareness and create sales demand based on marketing & sales goals
  • Develop and execute demand gen campaigns using various marketing tactics including email, webinars, SEM, social, and ABM
  • Manage list segmentation and scoring to deliver more targeted and relevant messaging
  • Monitor database hygiene, perform ongoing data cleansing to maintain the health and accuracy
  • Research, vet, and manage external resources to support lead development programs
  • Identify marketing funnel gaps, and develop process solutions with the marketing and sales team

  • Establish standard marketing reports for campaigns
  • Create benchmarks for programs and marketing assets in order to make recommendations for refinements and optimization
  • Develop and implement a framework to A/B test pieces of the customer journey including the website, omni-channel campaigns, nurture flows, etc.
  • Own all weekly/monthly reporting and dashboard management to show progress against marketing KPIs and business goals
  • Provide comprehensive analysis, insights, and recommendations on demand gen and performance marketing programs, including engagement, pipeline contribution, program ROI, customer acquisition/penetration and activity
  • Work to streamline the hand-off between Marketing and Sales - regularly evaluating MQL performance and optimizing scoring to increase lead quality
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales, analyze data and identify possible process improvements and system enhancements for improvements to automated marketing programs that maximize efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness

Marketing Technology
  • Ownership of the marketing technology stack to establish standards, best practices and operational excellence across technologies ensuring our tech solutions are fully scalable with our growing business
  • Build marketing operations team and execute marketing campaigns; activities include: campaign flows, email creation, developing dynamic content and complex nurture streams, landing page creation, form creation, webinars, lead scoring, etc.
  • Develop and maintain training materials including - establish and document workflows, onboarding new employees and documenting best practices

  • Stay up to date with the latest marketing technologies and bring them on board when it fits WideOrbit's business

Project Management (PMO)
  • Assist with scoping projects and setting process, teams, and timelines
  • Monitor and control project performance, ensuring projects remain on-time, on-scope, and on-budget
  • Assign work to cross-functional team members, and monitor resource utilization, re-balancing as needed
  • Provide weekly report-outs of key performance indicators, including executive project dashboards
  • Partner closely with marketing and management teams to ensure proper messaging, timing, and execution of one-off and ongoing campaigns
  • Manage relationships with key Marketing technology vendors, including periodic reviews
  • Manage the Digital Marketing team's budget, ensure spend is on-track, and provide periodic reporting

  • Deep understanding of the demand funnel lead management process including list segmentation, lead scoring and revenue attribution.
  • Highly organized and autonomous, but also collaborative and able to work cross-functionally
  • Team player with excellent project management skills and demonstrated ability to consistently prioritize and manage multiple tasks from conception through implementation
  • Proven record of successful, targeted, creative marketing campaigns and deliverables
  • Superb leadership, team management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and writing abilities
  • Understanding of branding fundamentals including positioning, messaging, and design

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years B2B marketing operations experience with increasing responsibilities in digital marketing/demand creation, web development, project management, and marketing automation
  • Marketing automation experience (Marketo and Pardot preferred)
  • Experience working with industry tools including web analytics, content management systems, and CRM (Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • Experience with the setup and configuration of webinar platforms, such as GoToMeeting, RingCentral, or WebEx
  • Experience in Word Press, Adobe Creative Suite a plus

  • Marketo Certified expert
  • List management and use of MediaRadar, Discovery.Org
  • Microsoft SharePoint and PowerBI


This position will be based in our San Francisco office.
