Senior Manager/Director of Strategic Planning

The Senior Manager / Director of Strategic Planning & Ops is a member of the Marketing leadership team and reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer to facilitate the development of strategies/plans to help achieve growth and revenue targets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating strategy, helping keep track of progress and build intelligence to better run the business. He/she will partner with other marketing leaders to enable organizational alignment towards company objectives and will be responsible for driving business-critical initiatives, particularly those that cross multiple operating teams, while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, programs, and infrastructure.
Some Challenges You'll Tackle:

  • Supporting/Working with the CMO with the formulation of marketing strategy and ensuring strategic and tactical alignment with key functions
  • Clarifying the strategy for other business units and functions and creating shared alignment, ensuring that senior Executives (Exec team, Board) and employees understand the details of the strategic plan and how the work connects to corporate goals
  • Driving strategy execution cross-functionally and measuring progress towards full implementation
  • Directing the development and implementation of processes, tools, metrics, initiatives, infrastructure and technology that will support and improve the operations of the Marketing function.
  • Identifying, analyzing, syndicating critical metrics to ensure business revenue targets are met.
  • Accelerating change through the marketing organization by applying change management concepts and methods
  • Overseeing and managing highly prioritized projects
  • Maintaining the institutional memory of the organization by creating a shared knowledge portal and repository of best practices.
You Should Have:
  • 4+ years of experience at a leading strategy consulting firm, including at least two years with senior project management experience
  • Relevant higher degrees such as an MBA from a leading school. Plus not a must.
  • Must have high analytical skills, be able to see patterns, be a fast thinker and a good decision maker
  • The candidate must have exceptional communication skills (including strong presentation skills) and the ability to multitask
  • The candidate should be a renowned performer, manager and have solid leadership skills
  • The candidate should also demonstrate strong personal excellence and executive presence.
  • Practical, hands-on. Rolls up the sleeves and gets things done - from mundane to strategic
  • Must be result driven, strong willed, a fast learner and able to effect changes fast
  • Must be focused on quality i.e. delivering excellent results
  • Ability to work with different people and ability to remain calm under pressure
