Do you have a solid technical background and have a proven track record in inside sales? This job could be for you! SwiftStack is shaking up the old, stodgy, multi-billion dollar storage market with a new breed of object storage. This shake-up is a movement. It's an innovative approach to storing massive amounts of data in an affordable way by deploying a software-defined solution that can span on-premises and cloud storage.
We're looking for a driven, career sales professional to help identify opportunities within our target audience and customer environments. The ideal candidate has great interpersonal skills, including speaking and writing, is a strategic thinker, and has the technical aptitude to carry on a constructive conversation with a technical audience.

What You'll Do:
Learn about SwiftStack's products, competitors, value proposition and positioning.
Gain expertise in storage and data management through training and interaction with the SwiftStack team.
Apply that expertise using your technical and interpersonal know-how to educate and inform potential users of the SwiftStack solution and accelerate their movement through the buyer's journey.
Execute outbound campaigns to highly-targeted prospects to educate them on the value of the SwiftStack solution.

Meet / exceed a target of Sales Accepted Opportunities by:
  • Outbound prospecting into target accounts, including researching accounts and creating relationships at various levels and in multiple departments in each organization.
  • Identifying leads using Internet search tools and social networking to augment, enhance or otherwise increase the available pool of customer prospects.
  • Building target lists and working with the sales team on account plans and regional strategies.
  • Providing feedback to Marketing on sales tools, prospect intelligence, and results from campaign follow up.
  • Keeping a list of FAQs from customers, prospects and the sales team.
  • Ensuring that lead generation is in alignment with sales objectives.
  • Being a SwiftStack Ambassador by attending meet-ups, hackathons, and workshops, and staffing trade shows.

REQUIREMENTS Qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience in an inside sales role selling software/hardware.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) including outstanding telephone presence and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter. Must be organized, highly motivated and a team player.
  • Great time management and ability to prioritize tasks to achieve objectives.
  • Proactive and resourceful in finding, building, and nurturing relationships with key decision makers and leaders.
  • Undergraduate degree.
Desired but not Required:
  • Technical background in IT concepts - particularly enterprise storage, cloud infrastructure, data management, and/or web-scale application technologies.
  • Startup experience.
Applicants for this position can be located remotely from SwiftStack's headquarters in San Francisco, CA. Ability to work business hours in the Central and Eastern Time Zone is a requirement.
