Ideal candidate is currently a senior copywriter or ACD level at an agency. You are the Grove storyteller. You know our brand and customer as well as anyone in the company. You know what customer emotions we need to play into, how to trigger those emotions and how to bring that to life via photography and video in a way that's refreshing and fits our brand...all while solving Grove's business objective. Contrary to what the posting title may suggest, this isn't traditional copywriter role. This is a storyteller role - hybrid copy/art director role, as many of the stories you will tell will not be using copy or spoken words. You will work directly under the creative director and work hand in hand with the content creator (videographer) and photographer to tell the stories of Grove. In addition, expect to spend a good portion of your time meeting with folks across different internal departments (marketing, social, merchandising, etc) discussing briefs and understanding business objectives before working your magic and bringing the solution to life!

You:
      • Proven exceptional storytelling/copywriting abilities.
      • Ability to think left and right brain to craft narratives that push the brand forward while solving business objectives.
      • Solid project and people management skills
      • Ability to coordinate large teams and keep them on schedule and proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
      • A track record of owning & launching successful projects, especially video.
      • Experience in film or video development, production and post/editorial end-to-end
      • Experience in photography, production, shot lists and post/editorial end-to-end
      • Strong aesthetic sensibility demonstrated via visual art, graphic design, styling, curation etc.


Responsibilities
    • You're the brand's storyteller. You know the the brand inside and out and how we connect with our customer via story, whether we're selling them an apron, explaining how castile soap works, or architecting spring acquisition campaign via our influencer network. We produce all of our assets in house and we always want to be telling that story our way.
    • Manage production process for both video and photography start to finish including writing briefs, mood boards, shots lists/narratives (for photos), storyboards (for video), coordinating talent, finding location, coordinating product, managing photographer, videographer, stylist, creating timelines, managing budget, etc.
    • Hire a full time videographer team within first 6 months. You will have access to contractor videographers in the meantime.
    • Take part in all necessary intake meetings with an opinion that best represents the creative department.


Requirements
      • 5-10 years agency or other relevant experience.
      • Fluent understanding of video and photo production process
      • Portfolio of relevant work.
