Job Description:

As a Senior Business Analyst on the WO Network team, you will work to understand and internalize the workflows at broadcast and cable networks. To be successful in this role, you will work with our Product and Development Teams to solve customer business problems by defining requirements, shepherding software changes, and skillfully documenting customers' business problems. If you enjoy having a consultative approach with customers to solve workflow concerns and like to take ownership of project goals and timelines, this could be the right opportunity for you.

Here is what you'll do:
  • Consult with customers, by using your critical thinking skills and subject matter expertise, to understand their software functionality pain points. Gather and document customer requirements for new or changed features from a variety of sources and research market data in order to analyze current software needs. Define features to meet those needs.
  • Meet with customers independently as needed and meet with Product and Development team members.
  • Collaborate with development throughout the lifecycle of emerging features, to turn prototypes and ideas into a user-friendly product.
  • Guide multiple projects concurrently and can independently effectively manage change of scope and/or timelines to meet client and product deadlines.
  • Being an active participant in meetings by providing thoughtful ideas to upcoming projects therefore contributing to the overall success of the product.
  • Communicate roadblocks and challenges before customer satisfaction is negatively impacted.
  • Exhibit professionalism and preparedness when communicating with external customers (via phone and in person) or internal customers, salespeople, team members, and development resources.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the product you are demoing and discuss functionality in detail.
  • Develop positive working relationships within other departments in the organization in order to meet product objectives and team expectations.
  • Coordinate with Tech Writers to make sure documentation is accurate and understandable.
  • Communicate with all areas of the company to provide information on new and/or changed features.
  • Show emotional resiliency by exhibiting grace under pressure.

  • Demonstratable knowledge of the cable/broadcast network industry from both the Sales and Comm Ops perspectives
  • Excellent critical thinking and consultative skills
  • Strong user/ "super user" experience on media industry software applications
  • Ability to work as part of a team while also assuming individual responsibility
  • Good judgment and decision making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while staying organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor for customer interactions. Can communicate in a thoughtful and consultative way
  • Excellent written communication skills. Can translate customer needs into professional documents
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Exhibits a focused passion and positive entrepreneurial attitude
