Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance department and be responsible for the preparation of financial reports and accounts reconciliation duties for our company. You will have inherent leadership qualities and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting for all financial operations. This position will be reporting directly to the Controller.
Here is what you will do as part of the team:
  • Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance to GAAP and within our established closing schedule
  • Complete monthly and quarterly accounts reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies, fluctuations and other issues that should be brought to the Controller's attention
  • Prepare company payroll according to schedule, in time for Controller to review and approve within ADP's required timeframe.
  • Calculate and file required monthly, quarterly and annual state and local taxes and business registrations
  • Assist other members of accounting team in vendor payment maintenance, resolution and communication
  • Participate in audits by assisting in the preparation of requested schedules and PBC's
And here are the skills and experience you will need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management required
  • 3+ years' experience in public accounting is a must
  • 3+ years progressive experience in e-commerce and supply chain or manufacturing concern
  • Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot, advance formulas)
  • Working knowledge of Netsuite or Quickbooks and payroll system (ADP)
  • Working knowledge of task management software (Asana) and CRM (Zendesk)
  • Strong problem solving, research and analytical skills
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to function well in a team-oriented, high-energy and continuously developing environment,
  • Familiarity with SQL a plus

  • This is a full-time on-site position at our San Francisco office
