Our business results and sales organization has grown rapidly and we're looking for a Sales Leader to join us to lead an established sales team on the Eastern US and help take us to the next level.
If you have proven sales leadership experience in Data Management Platforms (Big Data, IOT) or Enterprise IT Management Solutions (infrastructure mgmt, network mgmt, container mgmt or APM), or other modern cloud-native platforms and have a proven ability to lead and build high a performing sales team that meets or exceed targets, we want to hear from you!
In this role, you will be responsible for managing an experienced team of Account Executives and strategically leading a cross functional team of field pre-sales engineers (SE's), Sales Development Reps (SDR's) and Inside Sales Reps (ISR's) while ensuring the resources and process we have in place enable the success of the entire sales team.
This is a remote role, open to candidates living in MA, NY, NJ.
What you'll be doing:
  • Work with World-Wide Sales Leadership to turn strategy into an executing sales plan
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Support to deliver on targets and results
  • Mentor, coach, train and support the Eastern Region sales team
  • Create, implement and manage sales plays and programs to achieve targets
  • Deliver accurate, consistent pipeline & forecasting
  • Using superb communication skills, build relationships at all levels of InfluxData
  • Actively align with sales team members to build strategic relationships and close deals, both through regular sales coaching and direct involvement in the deal(s)
  • Consistently drive to reach quarterly performance targets
  • Drive 100% customer satisfaction
What we're looking for:
  • A super competitive, results driven leader, with a successful track record of performance.
  • 8+ years in enterprise software sales with at least 5 years in field sales management
  • Superb people skills with executive presence
  • Prior successful sales and sales leadership experience in enterprise software or big data
  • Solutions sales experience (we use ValueSelling)
  • Experience in implementing sales methodologies and techniques
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close, achieving and exceeding targets
  • Top notch communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • A history of positive, effective coaching and team mentoring
  • Experience with leadership of a sales team that is geographically multi-state, across the Eastern US or beyond
  • Experience in SaaS, PaaS companies
  • Advanced SFDC skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to rapid, constant change
It's a plus if you have:
  • Relevant Bachelor's or graduate degree
  • Experience in NoSQL data technologies or other modern platforms
  • Experience selling enterprise management solutions ( Systems Management) Cloud Management, log analytics, APM, Network Monitoring
  • Experience in selling solutions based on open-source software
