Deal Desk Specialist

As the Sales Operation-Deal Desk / Deal Desk Specialist, you will be supporting the Sales team in driving opportunities, with existing and new logos, by providing guidance in all commercial aspects of deals, including pricing, deal structure, contractual framework and creating and improving the deal process through constant evaluation and input from the field.

Successful candidates in this role will have, new business and renewal, quote to order sales cycle experience, love to identify and solve problems, high emotional IQ and taking pride in customer service. You'll thrive on being organized and detail oriented in our small but fast paced constantly changing environment.

What your day will look like...

  • Review and verify incoming deals for accuracy, including but not limited to: confirming contract terms, contact and billing information, pricing, business policies, and existing legal agreements/pre-existing terms.
  • Be the credible and trusted advisor to the sales team, collaborating on pricing, product, and commercial terms for standard and non-standard deals.
  • Work with the field Sales Teams, Management, Legal and Accounting to ensure negotiated deals are in alignment with company policies. 

  • Escalation point to Field Sales for quote-to-order operations and ensure compliance with published sales and business approval policies.
  • Evolving and improving business practices, including tools, templates and processes, to increase efficiency of Sales and the Deal Desk.
  • Defining and managing projects to deliver further operational efficiencies
  • Help coordinate system tie-outs, renewals, and revenue recognition with Accounting. 

  • Requirements:
  • You have 5+ years of experience in a deal desk, finance, contracts, sales operations, or revenue role.
  • You are experienced in transaction processing in an enterprise-level business environment.
  • You are adept at partnering and working with cross functional teams, building strong business relationships along the way.
  • You have a long-term love/hate relationship with and experienced in NetSuite

  • You have deep knowledge of purchasing processes, pricing agreements, and MSA/ESLA terms & conditions.
  • You are flexible, working varied hours to accommodate volume fluctuations caused by sales cycles, seasonality, varying regional time zones, and end of financial quarters.
  • You have a balance of patients and sense of urgency with sales personalities.
  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience required
