Overview

Tonal is building a Retail team that will take our product to market and open a national network of stores. We're looking for a Retail Operations Manager to report to Tonal's Head of Retail in building our processes, operations, and store culture for scale.

In this role, you will be critical in designing and executing our retail strategy as we launch and expand our retail presence. You will work closely with our in-store retail showroom teams, cross-functional partners and Tonal leadership across Marketing, Partnerships/Events, Design, Customer Support, Product, and Human Resources. You'll be the voice of the store and customer experience in new project design, assisting in developing and implementing retail initiatives. What You Will Do

  • Evaluate and lead new processes and procedures for day-to-day retail activities. Develop and implement training initiatives and retail guidelines
  • Monitor showroom business goals and design programs to drive conversion and showroom profitability
  • Work with cross-functional business partners across multiple projects to represent our store employees and customer experience. Prioritize and drive updates to product and experience required to consistently improve on our customer journey
  • Partner with our Marketing team on the objectives and plan for regional and national events/partnerships, including mobile demos, pop-ups, and customer referral programs
  • Provide analytics and support for new market expansion plan and new store opening processes
  • In partnership with Marketing team, support opening and staffing of San Francisco showroom and hiring of full retail team during launch period


Who You Are

  • 3+ years in retail operations, planning, project management or support, with corporate retail headquarters experience preferred
  • Comfort with ambiguity and smart risk taking. You have strong organizational skills and self-motivation, with a keen drive for results
  • Customer focus and analytical aptitude for evaluating qualitative and quantitative KPIs
  • Expert verbal, written and presentation skills
