Webroot are currently seeking an experienced QA Manager to join our Research and Development office based in Derby, UK. Role and Responsibilities
To establish, build and maintain quality processes within the function.
To manage the test activities associated with complex, distributed, cloud based .net web based applications
Ability to complete a comprehensive test plan and test documentation for minor and major product releases.
To deliver new business systems in line with the defined software lifecycle on time and within budget.
Responsible for managing a QA team of 6 people (4 remote and 2 onsite). Therefore, the ability to travel internationally is a must.
Provide technical direction, mentoring and training to ensure testing processes are adhered to
Work closely with other development managers and technical directors to recommend and agree technological solutions to meet business requirements
Recruit new team members to address future business needs
Manage communications from agile development activities that ultimately enable product releases
Release and track products or features from inception to release for all consumer products. The job will require the ability to manage multiple feature/product releases mapping test strategy to the release plan, ensuring the product release quality is maintained or acceding that of the previous release.
Develop test cases/harnesses and test products to meet assigned requirements using systematic test design techniques.
Render detailed defect descriptions and support materials into the defect tracking system
Maintain a good relationship and interface with PM, Development and Support team.
Documentation reviews for Technical Publications deliverables
Stay abreast of industry-wide changes in technology, programming techniques and new tools being used in the QA field
Work intimately with Dev and PM to help with defining and updating requirements.

Skills and Experience
ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing (intermediate - advanced level)
Agile Tester Certification (desired)
Proven track record of managing a team to success
3+ years experience in test management or similar
5+ years experience in Quality Assurance
4+ years proven work experience with testing, troubleshooting and debugging on Windows Operating systems (Win XP, Vista, Win 7, on 32 and 64 bit)
Inclusive of intimate knowledge of the Registry
Windows Networking experience
Knowledge of Windows tools (verifier, perf analyser, application tester)
Intimate knowledge for how to trouble shoot environmental issues and where to find system information, logs, and dumps
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
Bachelors in engineering, business or other related analytics field preferred
Currently in a QA/Test Manager role
Experience of working in a .Net environment
Knowledge of or working experience of Non Functional Testing.
