Webroot is looking for a QA Engineer to join a fast, energetic team in our San Diego location to build cutting-edge internet security applications. For the motivated QA Engineer, this is a chance to be part of a Global team which has the ability to substantially influence technical direction, building cutting-edge internet security applications used by millions of consumers and businesses around the world.

  • Perform an end-end verification of web thread detection system.
  • Analyze and determine issues encountered by users and work with development team to resolve.
  • Develop and maintain tools for uploading and analyzing data.
  • Support the web analysis team in answering question about the system, and help the team resolve issues encountered by the customer.
  • Work with manager and other team members to enhanc e the process to make it more efficient .
  • Perform other tasks to achieve the team goals.

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise (N-Tier) application including the underlying technologies (HTML, XML, JavaScript, etc.) used in internet application development.
  • Experience developing tools and utilities to access data in relational database using C#, Java, Python and/or Perl.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding relational databases, and ability to write complex SQL statements.
  • Strong knowledge of methods and techniques used to distribute malware.
  • Very good people skills and ability to communicate technical and non-technical issue clearly.
  • Strong understanding in Windows OS and ability to install and configure a new system onto any network environment.
  • Solid understanding of REST API testing techniques and common API tools.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
