SwiftStack needs your expertise to architect modernized workflows in the digital media industry! SwiftStack's cloud storage software presence in the media world is expanding quickly, and many of our clients are leveraging SwiftStack's functionality not only as an improvement over LTO for archive but also to simplify and accelerate their ingest, editing, transcoding, rendering, and distribution workflows. As a Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with our clients, prospects, and media partners to both understand and influence their workflows. You will also collaborate with SwiftStack's solutions architects, marketing, and sales teams to identify, validate, and communicate where SwiftStack provides unique value.

In addition to the focus on media, you will have an opportunity to apply expertise and related technologies to additional cloud-native and cloud-ready workflows and infrastructures in other markets.


  • Engage with clients and prospects as a "media expert" alongside our Solutions Architects team to provide architecture and workflow recommendations.

  • Work closely with media partners (e.g., vendors of asset managers, transcoders, NLEs) to help them modernize and optimize their applications to be cloud-storage-friendly.

  • Validate workflows in a SwiftStack lab, partner lab, or customer environment, and document configuration details for repeatability.

  • Work closely with SwiftStack's marketing team to produce how-to guides, demo videos, and basic sales training materials so that SwiftStack and partner sales teams can clearly articulate the benefits of these modernized workflows.

  • Report directly to SwiftStack's VP of Solutions-thus influencing both sales and partnership strategies for the company.


  • 5 - 10 years experience in the digital media industry implementing, managing, and/or using infrastructure for production or post-production workflows (or similar)

  • Hands-on experience with popular media industry applications (e.g., from vendors like Avid, Dalet, Evertz, Vizrt, Levels Beyond, Colorfront, Adobe, Apple, Autodesk)

  • Experience in storage, cloud infrastructure and/or web-scale application technologies

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Consultative and collaborative work style

  • Self-starter and self-motivated-able to overachieve goals with relative autonomy

  • Technical background

  • Basic sysadmin skills in Linux and networking

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of legacy and cloud storage technologies

  • Basic scripting or coding skills

  • Familiarity with data protection strategies and software

  • Familiarity with Python, Kubernetes/Docker, AWS/Google/OpenStack clouds, HSMs, AD/LDAP, Nagios, encryption/KMS, and related technologies

  • Technical sales, technical marketing, and/or product management experience

  • Small company experience
