IT Manager

We are looking for our first IT Manager to join us to own, manage and scale our IT infrastructure. With a customer centric mindset, you play a crucial role in monitoring, scaling, and continuously enhancing our infrastructure, which is mostly cloud based (minimal physical IT infrastructure). InfluxData has about half of our workforce distributed across the US and in Europe, so making sure we're able to work together seamlessly from a technical perspective is of paramount importance. What you bring to the role:

Your background and experience:
  • +5 years of experience providing IT support, managing and implementing IT infrastructures
  • +2 years of experience fully managing IT infrastructure
  • Experience in a startup environment important!
  • Proven superb diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of our IT environment, including Mac/Linux/Windows systems and software , Google email and docs, iPads, AV equipment (especially important), printers, etc
  • Extensive experience with and troubleshooting skills in networking (both wired and Wi-Fi) and networking technologies
  • Experience with enterprise security, compliance posture and management, including multi-factor authentication
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

What you'll be doing:
  • Manage all IT functions, supporting InfluxData's systems in a fast-paced startup environment (network, Google Enterprise, business applications/accounts, zoom/video conferencing, etc)
  • Provide desktop support to local and remote employees
  • Manage physical inventory of IT hardware (MDM, JAMF)
  • With a proactive approach, identify and address technical issues across the company
  • Establish and manage security posture
  • Evaluate and manage vendor relationships and tools to continually improve the IT experience.
  • Balance long term projects with an excellent customer experience on the employee side
  • Assisting with achieving SOC 2 and/or ISO 27001 certifications
