IT Business Systems Analyst (Contractor)

HashiCorp is looking for an IT Business Systems Analyst who will help us integrate systems, provide enterprise application support, and ensure that HashiCorp's core line-of-business applications run smoothly! The role requires significant hands-on experience, as this person will be working on long-term projects as well as handling occasional user support. You will also be working with key members of each department here at HashiCorp, and will need to be able to translate complex business requirements into technical action items and project plans.

Working with the Director of IT, the Analyst will be a key member of the IT Team, and will operate as a trusted advisor and primary resource for application management, as well as multi-functional support for both technical and non-technical groups at HashiCorp. You will be comfortable in a dynamic environment with significant and exciting change.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform analysis of systems and identify problem areas, identify ways of improving existing systems
  • Work with other team members to monitor, analyze system components and make recommendations regarding system security, network capacity
  • Design, build, configure and troubleshoot SAML integrations for all core line-of-business applications for all departments at HashiCorp
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Development/QA and other functional groups to roll out and adopt new services/platforms
  • Integrate the various SaaS platforms that our end users use daily with SAML providers as needed


Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in Federation, SAML, OpenID, OAuth and other industry standard authentication/authorization solutions.
  • 7+ years of experience with hands-on user support in a corporate environment.
  • 7+ years of experience administering enterprise SaaS applications such as Salesforce, Google Apps and Dropbox
  • 5+ years of experience tracking tickets via ZenDesk, JIRA or other enterprise ticketing systems
  • 5+ years of experience crafting and administering enterprise SAML providers such as OneLogin, OKTA or Ping Identity
  • 3+ years of experience working with enterprise log analysis tools such as Splunk
  • Deep understanding of network and infrastructure services concepts such as DNS, NTP, DHCP, and SNMP
  • Ability to think holistically for a given project or problem
  • Creative problem solving and aptitude for systems thinking.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate complex issues to staff and management.
  • Scheduled night/weekend work as needed. Incumbent may be on call to provide support services during off-hours, especially to support international staff.
  • Occasional travel to our San Francisco Headquarters for collaboration with various business teams (less than 10%)

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.
