Couchbase is looking for an Internal Communications Manager who is passionate about engaging and inspiring employees. In this role, you will work closely with PR and HR to provide essential communications to connect our global employees to Couchbase's strategic vision, values, and to each other. You will drive the planning, implementation, and execution of internal communication activities and events for Couchbase worldwide.

    • Think of outside-the-box ways to excite, engage and inform employees across the globe
    • Partner with our global offices and HR to track and operationalize a comprehensive calendar of employee events and activities including company all hands, company parties, and office events (i.e., Bring Your Kid to Work Day).
    • In conjunction with PR and HR, develop internal communication materials such as leadership messages, presentation decks, employee newsletters, video slideshows, and intranet content.
    • Ensure that all content is the highest quality, is creative and compelling and aligns with corporate messaging.
    • Define measurable goals and objectives for the program and report metrics on a quarterly basis.
    • Cultivate our Life at Couchbase social media presence and employer branding content on major sites like Glassdoor and LinkedIn, plus promote open roles and highlight employee contributions
    • Work with PR on various company award opportunities and company "trophy display"
    • Creatively drive and evolve development of our employer brand
    • Own and manage the logistics behind company all-hands meetings and other key events
    • Photograph key moments that can be shared with employees and/or used for recruiting efforts.

Preferred Qualifications
    • 3+ years of internal/employee communications, marketing communications, or related experience.
    • Experience working in a high/hyper growth tech company, helping to develop and focus internal communication initiatives.
    • Experience creating presentation decks (PPT and Google slides), social images and video slideshows.

Minimum Qualifications
    • Passionate about writing and storytelling to unite our global employee base.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with a love for grammar, powerpoint, details, and simplifying complex topics.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Ability to work independently, align priorities to business needs, anticipate gaps, and be flexible to a dynamic environment.
