Job Description:
WideOrbit is looking for a talented broadcast industry professional to join the WO Program product team as an Implementation & Support Specialist. The broadcasting world moves quickly and when a station or network wants to implement our products, it needs an Implementation Specialist that can help the broadcaster get organized, install the new system, and train the staff on how to use it; leaving the station in better shape than when they arrived. As an Implementation & Support Specialist, you will also have a dual role as a Product Support Specialist and handle customer support questions when you are not traveling to a client site. WO Program is an all-in-one software solution that manages broadcast rights, financials, program inventories and schedules.

Here is what you'll be doing:
  • Educate customers on various configurations and/or customization options. Troubleshoot configuration issues and recommend action plans for resolution.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the clients specific business objectives and then create a project plan that achieves these objectives.
  • Travel to our clients' sites nationally and internationally (as required) and oversee all aspects of the implementation process including installation and training new users.
  • Conduct web based training sessions.
  • Be able to effectively communicate to a technical or non-technical audience.
  • Work with all stakeholders including customers, industry groups, and internal departments such as development, product management, and release management.
  • Identify and document software defects and requests for enhancements.
  • Create stories for statements of work and business requirements from the client business analysis
  • Work with a team to develop product support infrastructure.

Here is what we're looking for:
  • 1+ year experience working in a support role, preferably supporting the programming department in a broadcasting company or cable network.
  • Familiarity with broadcast network, syndicated programming and cable network programming a plus
  • Interest and willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to effectively communicate to a technical or non-technical audience
  • Ability to lead presentations with confidence and build relationships with customers quickly
  • Proven ability to function in a self-directed position
  • Experience working effectively under pressure in a team environment
  • Proven experience balancing competing tasks in a rapidly changing environment and meeting tight deadlines
  • Fluency in MS Windows, Excel, and Word
  • Strong technical aptitude to quickly learn new software
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This position will be based in our Denver, CO (preferred) or Dallas, TX office.
