Job Description:

WideOrbit's HR team is looking for a passionate, engaging and data driven Human Resources Operations Specialist to join this growing team. The HR Operations Specialist provides functional support to the employee and manager team at WO and works collaboratively with the Human Resources team. We are looking for an HR professional dedicated to delivering outstanding HR service. The HR Ops Specialist uses their expertise and passion for HR to continuously identify areas of process improvement and helps the team execute. Support functions include areas such as new hire on-boarding, orientation, benefits, terminations, immigration, employee relations, HR policies and procedures, and reporting.

Here are some things you will be doing:
  • Provide excellent customer service and act as point of contact for employees who have routine questions regarding HR policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Administration of corporate benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, COBRA, life, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, wellness programs, and the 401(k) plans
  • Process a variety of employment-related changes withing HRIS systems, including employee status changes, database updates, pay changes, employee information and other confidential employee data
  • Develop reports and analyses regarding diversity, attrition, and program participation
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation with a warm and positive presentation focusing on an excellent new employee experience
  • Own and assist with various HR and talent management projects working in collaboration with the HR team and others when needed
  • Maintain an understanding of policies, procedures, and regulations relevant to Human Resources. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Serve as first point of contact for all US employees with benefits-related questions, needs, claim issues and plan changes
  • Make recommendations based on data analyses
  • Audit and review vendor invoices, resolving disputes, and reporting on fees and costs. Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
  • Prepare and maintain employee personnel hard and soft copy files

  • Driven: A self-starter who is highly motivated and take initiative
  • Confident: demonstrates appropriate urgency, risk management and advisory skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Here's what we're looking for:
  • A Bachelor's degree with 3 + years Human Resources experience is required
  • PHR Certification is a plus
  • Proven ability to support a remote workforce
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of employee relations, labor laws, and benefits administration.
  • Has knowledge of benefits programs; for example 401(k), medical/vision/dental plans, Affordable Care Act Reform, ERISA, ADA, FMLA and disability programs
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow up skills due to sensitive nature of the job
  • Ability to operate with flexibility and adapt quickly to a fast-changing environment.

This position will be based in our San Francisco office
