The Role

We're looking for an amazing addition to our rapidly growing Growth team who can help us scale and optimize our email acquisition campaigns for our cart abandoners. As Growth Marketing Manager - Email Acquisition and Optimization, you will be the day-to-day manager of Grove's acquisition email marketing campaigns. You'll regular optimize acquisition emails, test hypothesis through A/B Testing, and be responsible for and work with the broader team on increasing performance of our email acquisition channel.

Your Opportunity

    • You will manage email campaigns for acquisition, including email strategy, tactical execution (composing, coding, and deploying emails), and analysis for users who've submitted their email, but have not yet purchased from Grove
    • You will be responsible for every element of email for acquisition including composing emails, concepting tests, targeting, deployment, and analysis
    • You will collaborate closely with our Influencer and Acquisition teams to understand and optimize our execution on content, offers, and timing of our acquisition emails
    • You will own the metrics - pulling data daily and optimizing email campaigns with the goal of improving conversions from our abandoner email list
    • As a key member of Grove's Growth team, you will be able to make a significant impact directly through the customer acquisition campaigns you manage
    • You will work collaboratively with our Merchandising, Influencer Marketing, Retention Marketing, Inventory and Engineering teams to optimize conversion, engagement and improve campaign performance

About You

    • You're consistently looking for how things could be improved, you're hard-working, curious, and eager to learn
    • You have 3-5 years of professional experience and are comfortable working in a high-performing team
    • You are organized and detail-oriented
    • You have spent at least two years managing performance-based email marketing hands-on for list sizes above 100k
    • You are analytical, data-driven, and always try to look at the data before deciding what to test next
    • You are creative and curious. You regularly coming up with new hypotheses and are constantly testing new experiments to improve your campaigns' performance
    • Targets don't scare you - you find creative ways to reach your goals
    • You are comfortable collaborating closely with team members at all levels and being accountable for high-priority projects
    • You care about leaving a positive impact in the world through your work
    • You are comfortable coding an email in HTML / CSS
    • Experience with Sailthru and a background in eCommerce is a plus but not required
