We are looking for an exceptional manager and coach for our team of technical evangelists and DevRels. Our developer relations organization helps keep us connected to the communities that love technology as much as we do. Our focus is on reducing the time to awesome by creating technical content for developers who might be getting started with the technology or need help around a particular roadblock.
Reporting to our CTO, you will be a well-rounded technical leader with a prior background in software development and have managed technical DevRel teams. You are passionate about open source, have a proven track record of writing to technical audiences (blogs) and speaking at technical conferences and meetups. You love mentoring people, guiding career development, providing guidance based on prior experience and building highly successful teams.
We are open to candidates in the Bay Area or remote candidates in major cities in the following states : AZ, CA, CO, CT, GA, ID, IL, MA, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, TX, UT, VA, WA

What you'll be doing
  • Manage a group of geographically dispersed technical developer advocates providing coaching, guidance, and expertise
  • Grow and expand the adoption of our technology by expanding our meetup presence
  • Regularly produce highly technical content consumable by developers as presentations, blogs, videos, articles, demos, and other similar activities
  • Drive the adoption of our technology by producing tutorials, code samples, code snippets etc. that can be expanded and enhanced on GitHub
  • Create programs that build relationships with other technical experts and communities at other companies
What you bring to the role
  • Recent experience as a DevRel, or technical evangelist
  • Recent experience in managing technical teams, ideally DevRel teams, in a distributed environment
  • Software engineering or development experience, with coding experience in one or more of the following languages: Go, Java, NodeJS, Ruby, Python, C#, PHP
  • Experience speaking at technology conferences, blogging/writing technical articles with an existing follower base or contributing to an open source project
Preferred qualifications:
  • 10 years of overall software engineering or development experience with recent coding experience
  • 3 years of experience as a people manager
  • Experience working as a Software Developer, Architect, Technical Evangelist, or Chief Technical Officer within various platforms
