WideOrbit is growing and our Corporate Compliance Team is expanding! In this position, you will perform a variety of operational audits and special projects in partnership with key business partners in IT, Finance, Sales and Product. You will evaluate new systems and products, test key controls, document test results and support business partners where necessary to ensure their areas are operationally efficient and compliant. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and building an internal controls program and partnering with stakeholders to develop efficient and well-controlled audit processes across the company. This position will offer a lot of autonomy, a platform to show your leadership skills, a place to contribute ideas around best practices, and exposure to high level management who will value your opinion, feedback, and recommendations which will result in carrying out your own agendas and projects.

Here is what you'll be doing:
  • Act as a knowledgeable first point of contact and subject matter expert to retrieve documented evidence that supports the corporate SOC audits. Lead the audits through all phases of SOC.
  • Perform internal controls testing and documentation, owning and managing the entire process from kick off meetings to final report issuance. Make improvement to the audit cycle where needed.
  • When evidence from an audit is provided, own and manage the entire process from beginning to end - reviewing, maintaining and documenting information with accuracy while applying best practices.
  • Implement new compliance programs related to data privacy and business continuity and perform periodic monitoring over various compliance programs throughout the company.
  • Act as a trusted partner with stakeholders in Engineering, Information Security, Product, Sales, and Legal departments on contract compliance, internal projects, and SOC audits.
  • Own and support the vendor security risk management function and periodically assess our current and potential vendors for security risks. Survey vendors, report results, and provide recommendations.
  • Understand and help to improve the current compliance and control environment finding methods which automate manual processes and make for more efficient business operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to educate and prepare on how to "pass" audits, meeting all requirements.
  • Support ad hoc financial or operational review projects.

Here is what we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years IT audit experience with SOC, ISO, SOX or related compliance areas
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience with intermediate Excel skills
  • Prior experience in a big 4 accounting firm highly desirable
  • Consultative and collaborative approach to gathering information from departments and facilitating time resources from others.
  • Proven track record of providing recommendations and/or solutions after identifying errors, mistakes, and missing documentation.
  • Knowledge and experience of IT controls across all domains such as access, change management, and computer operations
  • Display strong analytical and mathematical thinking skills with a clear understanding of general accounting principals
  • Communicates in a concise and articulate way both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of establishing credibility with key customers (internal and external)
  • Positive attitude, approachable, and maintains professional relationships
  • Identifies problems and passionately creates solutions. Recognizes areas that need improvement and suggests steps to solve root level problems.
  • Willingness and curiosity to learn new systems, concepts, and broaden knowledge in the industry
  • Proven ability to be self-motivated, take initiative, and have a strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity in understanding security and devops in cloud software is a plus
  • CISA/CIA/CISSP or related experience is a plus
