We're looking for passionate Community Manager to join our Social Media Marketing team! As a Community Manager, you will have the opportunity to grow Grove Collaborative's social media channels into a community of highly engaged brand advocates through community moderation, content programming, and data analysis.

Your main responsibilities in this position will be to work with the Content & Social Media Manager to moderate branded social media channels, brainstorm engaging content and campaigns, maintain a social media editorial calendar, execute and optimize content, report on channel performance, as well as other administrative day-to-day tasks.

The Opportunity:


    • Co-own the day-to-day community management of branded social media platforms, including moderation, editorial content development, performance tracking and reporting
    • Manage all aspects of editorial calendar and content publishing across all platforms including, but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube
    • Encourage community conversation by engaging customers on branded social platforms, with adherence to brand voice, content guiding principles, and legal guidelines
    • Maintain an "always-on" presence to be able to identify "Surprise & Delight" opportunities and surface potential customer service issues with Customer Happiness team
    • Catalogue high quality user generated content to share on branded social media channels
    • Identify potential new brand advocates or influencers to partner with
    • Draft all captions for Pins, Posts, Replies, and Stories, taking care to optimize each caption with engaging CTAs, SEO best practices, appropriate hashtags, etc.
    • Benchmark weekly and monthly content metrics to assist with analytics tracking and reporting to ensure all content produced
    • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the overall Social Media landscape and trends, including competitive analysis and best-in-class brands




About You:


    • You have a minimum of 1 year of experience in Social Media Marketing
    • You have an undergraduate degree in Communications or Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related discipline
    • You have experience in customer support and can empathize with customers to provide the best quality service and response
    • You have purchased an item after seeing it on Instagram, Pinterest or Facebook, and took mental notes about how the brand could have improved your shopping experience
    • You brag about your Instagram Story skills to your friends
    • You understand the difference between a tweet, a post, and a pin, and what you can do to optimize each piece of content to increase engagement and discoverability
    • You understand the difference between "Engagement" and "Engagement Rate" and why these two metrics might (or might not) matter when you're reporting on results of a Social Media Marketing campaign
    • You consider yourself a part-time copywriter because of your strong writing and communication skills
    • You are super organized and love to alphabetize, color coordinate, create goals, take notes, and set up tasks to get yourself through your work week
    • You have an impeccable attention to detail and can spot a typo coming from a mile away
    • You have worked with influencers in the past, and have a basic understanding of influencer marketing project management, process, and advertising guidelines
    • You aren't afraid of working in a fast paced environment, understanding when to ask for help or when to pull up your sleeves and "Google it" to get stuff done




Our Ideal Candidate:


    • Encompasses a wide breadth of knowledge related to Social Media channel features, hashtags, trends, and influencers
    • Possess a high emotional intelligence, which they have used to develop amazing customer service skills in the hospitality or retail industry
    • Understand principles in design, curation, and storytelling, and can create (or source) compelling editorial content for Social Media Marketing
    • Able to identify relevant Social Media Marketing data, benchmark content performance, and interpret results to share with their team
    • Holds at least one year of experience working within a Social Media or Public Relations role
