Massdrop is looking for a strategic and inspired team player to lead our affiliate marketing efforts for physical eCommerce products. This includes products made by Massdrop, as well as our collaborations with other leading brands. The Affiliate Marketing Manager is responsible for generating and expanding new & existing affiliate partnerships with the goal of driving new customers acquisition and revenue while representing the Massdrop brand and its commerce products effectively. The ideal candidate must demonstrate effective leadership, direction and communication with affiliates.
Here is what you will do as part of the team:
  • Lead the affiliate marketing and campaign planning strategy in collaboration with the greater growth marketing strategy and team.
  • Prospect, negotiate, develop, and manage strategic affiliate partnerships to maximize relationships, increase revenue, and drive profitable affiliate scheme.
  • Proactively evaluate and test new affiliate partners and networks.
  • Coordinate with the merchandising team on behalf of partners to ensure campaign success.
  • Work with internal cross functional teams to identify promotions, refresh creative, and ensure Brand messaging is updated across affiliate partner sites.
  • Communicate Massdrop expectations and program changes with publisher base.
  • Issue IO's via affiliate platform, with negotiated rates, cookie windows and budget caps.
  • Execute creative and promotional link trafficking through affiliate platform.
  • Foster affiliate relationships, meeting regularly to ensure campaigns are performing within target ROI and CAC goals, and that Massdrop products are featured in brand-enhancing ways.
  • Monitor affiliate ads and placements ensuring MAP and brand guidelines are followed.
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing team on budgets and pacing and ensure monthly budgets are not exceeded and revenue goal is achieved.
  • Conduct ongoing reporting and analysis of affiliate performance, including identifying key business drivers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage monthly invoices and accrual processes across affiliate spend.
  • Monitor and manage compliance with affiliate contracts
  • Analyze and optimize a commision structure to maximize ROI and growth.
  • Create presentations on performance, strategy and industry updates to share with Massdrop executive leadership and the marketing team.
  • Develop to become Massdrop's subject matter expert for affiliate marketing by building best practices, staying on top of emerging trends, vetting new technologies and managing planning and execution tools.
  • Find synergies and strategically identify when paid placements can drive incremental affiliate revenue.
  • Manage the role of Massdrop's affiliate agency.
And here are the skills and experience you will need to be successful:
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in affiliate marketing and business development.
  • A understanding of CPA, EPC, Payback, LTV, & ROI.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding in direct response and performance marketing, ecommerce marketing, and digital advertising.
  • Experience in ecommerce industries is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency with affiliate management and tracking platforms such as Impact Radius, HasOffers, Linkshare, CAKE, and HasOffers.
  • Strong analytical ability a must for accurate forecasting and KPI assessment.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to quickly react to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-organized, high attention to detail, and ability to drive results quickly.
  • Must be a self-starter, a team player and driven.
  • Previous start-up experience is a strong plus.
  • BA/BS degree.
