Account Executive

With our continued growth, we're expanding our Account Executive, Mid Market team! We're looking for results-oriented, passionate, driven, and curious folks who know how to sell.
You would be responsible for selling our market leading on-premise and cloud products and solutions, primarily by responding to high volume inbound interest and opportunities. This role is a transactional one-you will be measured on new customer acquisition across North America.
Working closely with Sales Development, Field Sales, and Sales Engineering to drive new business bookings and align our customers with solutions for their use case, you'll need to prospect, sell, and close in a very competitive environment, never settling for being second best and always keeping the customer's best interests in mind.
What you'll be doing:
  • Drive new customer growth by closing new business that meets and exceeds monthly, quarterly and annual bookings objectives
  • Actively engage with prospects, building rapport to articulate InfluxData's value
  • Provide an above-and-beyond customer experience in assisting potential customers during their evaluation process, create quotes and new customer accounts, coordinate with channel partners, and close sales
  • Craft and evolve effective email, cold calling, and social media strategies to research, prospect, identify, qualify and develop sales pipeline
  • Research and maintain a deep understanding of our software solutions, competitors and industry trends
  • Track all activities in Salesforce in a consistent and timely manner
  • Establish strong relationships with internal teams and partners
What you bring to the role:
  • 2+ years experience selling enterprise software technology in a dynamic and competitive market
  • Experience handling pipeline, and the ability to accurately forecast deals.
  • You're a self-starter who continuously strives to "win"; you love finding creative ways to prospect while utilizing your time effectively; "hunter mentality"
  • Driven to succeed and grow not only your accounts, but also your career, you make your own way via determination, resourcefulness and persistence
  • Strong track-record of following through with goals and commitments
  • Insatiable sense of curiosity - passionate about learning and ways of improving
  • Experience selling SaaS or On-Prem software
  • Experience with Gmail, Salesforce, social media platforms
  • You not only have excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, but also have strong negotiation and persuasion skills
It's a plus if you have:
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in NoSQL data technologies, or other modern platforms
  • Experience in selling solutions based on open source software
  • A love of the "Back to the Future" franchise
  • Experience selling enterprise management solutions (Systems Management) Cloud Management, log analytics, APM, Network Monitoring
