Lyft is proud to partner with City Harvest, New York City’s largest food rescue organization that’s fed New Yorkers in need for over 35 years, for our Lyft to Volunteer initiative. City Harvest helps feed over 1.2 million New Yorkers struggling to put meals on their tables by sourcing nutritious food that would have otherwise gone to waste. To help our neighbors in need, Lyft is donating $30,000 to City Harvest, which will rescue and deliver over 20,000 pounds of food to help feed nearly 230 families for a month.
Interested in helping? If you sign up to volunteer with City Harvest from now through March 2019, we’ll help you get there and back with up to $15 in Lyft credit each way. Visit our Lyft to Volunteer truck in Manhattan this week to learn more.
