Every week, more people choose to ride with Lyft than ever before. In September, we announced an exciting new milestone: 1 billion rides. As we continue our mission to improve people's lives with the world's best transportation, we're constantly introducing new ways to make choosing Lyft even easier — and more rewarding. In the coming weeks, select passengers will be able to get more from their rides with our new loyalty program, Lyft Rewards.
For those who ride with Lyft often, we introduced the All-Access Plan this past October. Since February, anyone who rides using their Lyft business profile can benefit from our Business Rewards program, earning credits for personal use. And for all the Delta loyalists, you can earn extra Delta SkyMiles whenever you ride.
Through all this, your feedback has been loud and clear: Passengers want rewards whenever you ride — and not just when you’re heading to work or traveling. That’s why our first-ever loyalty program for any ride you take, Lyft Rewards, will start rolling out in the coming weeks.
How will Lyft Rewards work?
Getting rewarded will be easy. Whenever you use the Lyft app to get around, you’ll earn points for every dollar you spend. Earn enough points and you’ll unlock a reward like an upgrade to Lyft Lux or savings on future rides. Want to see how close you are to your next reward? Just track your progress right in the Lyft app.
We’re also exploring how we can keep making Lyft Rewards better over time. We hear you: Passengers want perks like ride upgrades, access to more-experienced drivers, and double-points days — so we'll continue to listen to your rider feedback as we fine-tune the Lyft Rewards program.
When can I start earning rewards?
Lyft Rewards will begin rolling out December 2018 to select riders in various cities. We’re working to make it available to more riders next year.
Riders who will be eligible to start earning rewards should be on the lookout for an email or notification from Lyft. We plan to keep adding more and more to the program over time, so stay tuned for new updates in 2019.
